i woke up this morning

in an unfamiliar trance

but i knew it felt not unlike

when i once learned to dance

the past year has been so strange

i don’t recognize the person i didn’t recognize

but i know im fine as long as im in range

of who i see in your eyes

and fascinatingly

i feel as though your woman and your man

now i’m on 10 thru 22

now i’m scared of outliving you

now i’m seeing right through

the cracks in every avenue
